Mumbai, Sept. 7 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut has alleged that an advertisement showing Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis paying tribute to Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj cost between Rs 40-50 crore in a single day.

Raut demanded to know the identity of the invisible donor who funded this huge expenditure. He claimed the timing, cost, and intent of the advertisement were suspicious.

Raut said that while every Marathi should revere Shivaji Maharaj, using his image for political mileage and self-promotion was unacceptable. He questioned why the name of the individual or organisation behind the advertisement was not disclosed and suggested that the money may have come from black money, contractors, or criminal elements.
