Mumbai, Sept. 20 -- Bharatiya Janata Party media cell chief Navnath Ban today dismissed Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut's "ridiculous allegation" that Eknath Shinde's Shiv Sena would merge with the BJP, and instead alleged that Raut has struck a deal with Rahul Gandhi on merging the Uddhav Sena faction into the Congress.

Ban also said that after the local body elections, the Uddhav group of Shiv Sena would dissolve, leaving Congress as their only option.

He said that seeing Raut's constant flattery of Rahul Gandhi, it seems clear that he has already made a deal with Gandhi.

He said that Raut's guru is no longer the revered Balasaheb Thackeray but Rahul Gandhi, Ban continued.
