Mumbai, Sept. 16 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut today said that the Maharashtra state government's decision to take a loan of Rs 24,000 crore within just three months has left the state's economy in a condition similar to that of Nepal.

Addressing the media, Raut alleged that development works in the state have come to a standstill and there is massive unemployment. He also accused the government of favouring those close to the Chief Minister with SRA (Slum Rehabilitation Authority) contracts.
