Mumbai, Sept. 27 -- Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut today alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is actively working to divide the Marathi community.
Speaking at a press conference, Raut claimed the BJP's sole aim is not the interests of Maharashtra or Mumbai, but splitting the regional vote.
He accused the BJP of using Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar as "weapons" to achieve this goal.
Raut asserted that the BJP holds no genuine affection for either Shinde or Pawar.
He claimed their true objective was to fracture the original Shiv Sena, founded by Balasaheb Thackeray, and Sharad Pawar's Nationalist Congress Party (NCP).
