Sangli (Maharashtra), Aug. 15 -- State's Higher and Technical Education and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Chandrakant Patil has said that the development plan of Sangli district has been decided in three phases, under developed India, developed Maharashtra and developed District, till the centenary of the country's independence.
Mr Patil, who is also district guardian minister, was addressing a gathering after hoisting the tricolor on the occasion of the 79th independence day at the district collector office today.
He said that comprehensive development of the district has been planned and its implementation has started. The aim is to increase the development rate of the district through the contribution of all sectors.
