Pune, May 18 -- Sandip Singh Gill has been appointed the Rural Police Superintendent of Pune.
The Home Department has ordered the transfer of present Rural SP, Pankaj Deshmukh, to the post of Additional Police Commissioner in the Pune City Police.
Sandeep Singh Gill, who was the Deputy Commissioner of Police of Zone 1, was earlier transferred to the post of Superintendent in the Rural Police.
However, since the current SP Pankaj Deshmukh had not yet completed his term, he had approached the Administrative Services Authority (MAT). He had requested to complete his term which was approved then.
