Puri, Dec. 16 -- Tourists and locals gathered at Puri Beach today to offer prayers and pay tribute to the innocent lives lost in the recent terrorist attack at Bondi Beach, Australia.
Renowned sand artist and Padma Shri awardee Sudarsan Pattnaik created a five-foot-high sand sculpture using nearly four tons of sand, conveying the powerful message, "Crush Terror for a Safer World." The artwork honoured the victims and strongly condemned terrorism.
Students from Pattnaik's Sand Art Institute joined him in crafting the sculpture, turning the beach into a site of remembrance and solidarity.
