Chennai, March 7 -- Samsung India Workers' Union (SIWU), which was backed by the Centre for Indian Trade Unions (CITU), on Friday withdrew its month-long strike after the company management agreed to reinstate the protesting workers.
The decision to withdraw the protracted stir came after the government officials and company representatives urged the protesting workers to return to duty, reports said.
An Organisation Notice issued by Samsung said "the management understands that the illegal strike in which certain group of workers had participated has been withdrawn with effect from today
(07.03.2025) as per the workers' communication mail dated 05.03.2025".
