Hyderabad, Dec. 26 -- Telangana Minister for Women and Child Welfare and Panchayat Raj Danasari Seethakka Anasuya on Friday said the reconstruction works for the Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Maha Jatara would stand as a milestone in world history, with structures being built to last for at least 200 years.

Addressing the media during a visit to Medaram in Mulugu district, Seethakka said the reconstruction of the Sammakka Saralamma shrine is progressing rapidly. She said the project features around 7,000 sculptures depicting tribal history and culture, carved on nearly 4,000 tonnes of granite.
