Pune, Sept. 27 -- Vishwas Patil has been selected as the president of the 99th All India Marathi Literary Conference, to be held in Satara in January 2026. However, the Sambhaji Brigade has strongly opposed this decision, alleging that Patil's appointment insults Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj and hurts the sentiments of Shiv-Shambhu followers. The Brigade has demanded his immediate removal from the post, said Manoj Aakhare, the organisation's state president.
