Mumbai, May 4 -- Samajwadi Party legislator Rais Shaikh has accused the Mahayuti government in Maharashtra of adopting a "lackadaisical" approach towards minority welfare, and alleged that over 67 percent of posts in the state's Minority Department are lying vacant.
This situation has paralysed the department and severely hampered the effective implementation of various government schemes for minority communities, said MLA Rais Shaikh.
Rais Shaikh has written to Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, urging his immediate intervention to fill the vacant posts and ensure proper execution of schemes intended for minority welfare.
