New Delhi, April 23 -- The Sports Authority of India (SAI) has extended logistical and financial support worth more than Rs. 1.45 crore to help the Indian badminton team prepare for the upcoming BWF Thomas and Uber Cup Finals, which will be held in Horsens(Denmark) from April 24 to May 3.
A 34-member Indian contingent is set to travel to Denmark for the prestigious team championships. This includes 20 players, five coaches, and nine support staff. The squad features top players such as PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen, Kidambi Srikanth, and the men's doubles pair of Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty. The team also includes several upcoming players from the Target Olympic PodiumScheme (TOPS) Core and Development groups.
