Satara, Jan. 3 -- Senior litterateur and president of the Marathi Sahitya Sammelan, Vishwas Patil, today said that a literary conference is not merely a cultural programme but a platform that gives ethical and ideological direction to the nation.
He was speaking at the inauguration of the 99th All India Marathi Literary Conference currently underway here.
Patil highlighted that the Marathi Literary Conference predates the formation of the Indian National Congress, underlining its historical and cultural significance.
