La Paz, June 3 -- Left-back Jose Sagredo has been added to Bolivia's squad for World Cup qualifiers against Venezuela and Chile, the Bolivian football federation said.

The 31-year-old was called up as cover for "five or six players" dealing with fitness concerns, national team coordinator Carlos Pino told reporters on Monday. He did not name the players in doubt.

"Some have complained of physical discomfort," Pino said. "The idea is to avoid any emergencies and Jose is a player who can play in several positions if necessary."
