SAD alleges Punjab officials tried to "inflame passions", demands judicial probe

Chandigarh, March 10 -- The Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD) on Monday asked the Punjab Chief Secretary (CS) to recommend a judicial probe against Information and Public Relations officers of three districts who tried to "inflame passions and force clashes" among different sections of the Sikh community.

In a statement here, senior SAD leader Dr Daljit Singh Cheema said "it seems officers of the Public Relations department were given orders to spread videos to inflame passions by Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) functionaries.

"These functionaries should be identified and action should be taken against them as per law. Officers circulating inflammatory matter should also face legal as well as disciplinary action," said Cheema
