Thiruvananthapuram, Jan. 9 -- Former Mizoram Governor and BJP leader Kummanam Rajasekharan on Friday said that the investigation into the Sabarimala gold theft case, irrespective of whether a minister or a Thantri (priest) is involved, should be carried out in the right direction.

Speaking to media persons here, he asked as to what had happened after questioning former Devaswom Minister Kadakampally Surendran.

"There are some doubts in this investigation," Kummanam Rajasekharan said, adding that the government's stance against the investigation by central agencies is mysterious.

The BJP leader's statement came after the arrest of the Sabarimala temple Thantri Kandararu Rajeevaru in the Sabarimala gold heist case on Friday.
