Moscow, Aug. 7 -- Russia's top security official Sergey Shoigu has called for the further strengthening of security ties between India and Russia, amid New Delhi's ongoing trade spat with the US over its purchase of Russian oil, and President Donald Trump's economic sanctions, reports RT.

The Russian Security Council Secretary on Thursday held talks with his Indian counterpart National Security Advisor Ajit Doval, who is currently in Moscow to discuss the Kremlin's security and defence ties with New Delhi.
