Moscow, July 17 -- Calling the European Union's policy of a phased reduction in Russian energy impractical, Russian President Vladmir Putin said that this move has already caused great harm to Europe's energy sector - as it is heavily dependent on Russian energy supplies, and continuing it will only have more adverse effects for the European market, reports state-media TASS.
In a meeting with the Russian president, Andrey Guryev, the head of the Russian Association of Fertiliser Producers said that Europe's petrochemical sector has almost completely halted its work.
"There is more," Putin noted. "The glass production also. There is the whole chain of adverse consequences," Putin said.
