Moscow, July 24 -- Russian rescuers have located the fuselage of an Antonov An-24 passenger plane that disappeared from radar earlier in Russia's Far East, the Emergencies Ministry said today.
The plane was carrying 49 people, including six crew members, and it crashed in the eastern Amur region, reports said.
"An Mi-8 helicopter operated by Rosaviatsiya (Russia's civil aviation authority) has spotted the burning fuselage of the aircraft," the Emergencies Ministry stated on Telegram.
According to the news agency TASS, there are no survivors from the crash. The agency further reported that one of the likely causes of the accident was a crew error during landing in poor visibility conditions.
