Tehran, Feb. 25 -- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov arrived in the Iranian capital of Tehran for a working visit on Tuesday, a Sputnik correspondent reported.
Lavrov is expected to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi to discuss the prospects of bilateral cooperation, in particular in energy and transportation.
The ministers will exchange views on international agenda, including the situation in Syria, the Persian Gulf and the wider Middle East, and on Iran's nuclear deal talks.
Lavrov traveled to Iran from Turkey, where he was hosted by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for talks on bilateral cooperation and international agenda, including on Syria and Ukraine.
