Chennai, Dec. 5 -- Russia's TVEL JSC, the nuclear fuel arm of the country's integrated nuclear power major Rosatom, on Thursday announced the delivery of nuclear fuel for the initial loading of the VVER-1000 reactor Unit 3 of the Kudankulam Nuclear Power Plant (KKNPP) in Tamil Nadu.
According to TVEL, the cargo flight successfully delivered fuel assemblies manufactured by the Novosibirsk Chemical Concentrates Plant (an enterprise of Rosatom's Nuclear Fuel Division).
The fuel delivery came as Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived on Thursday evening on a two-day state visit to India, for holding summit level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during which the two sides are expected to take forward talks on cooperation in the field...
