Ulan-Ude, Aug. 18 -- The joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise Selenga 2025 was declared open in a solemn ceremony at the Burduny training ground in the eastern Siberian region of Buryatia on Monday, Russia's Eastern Military District said.
"A solemn opening of the joint Russian-Mongolian military exercise Selenga 2025 took place at the Burduny training ground of the Eastern Military District in the Republic of Buryatia," the statement read.
The commander of the Russian tactical group, Lieutenant Colonel Ravil Tukaev, and the commander of the Mongolian tactical group, Major Suur Davaagambo, raised the national flags. Buryatia Governor Alexei Tsydenov attended the ceremony.
