New Delhi, July 17 -- India today expressed willingness to revive the Russia-India-China (RIC) trilateral format and said a decision would be taken "in a mutually convenient manner.''

External Affairs Ministry spokesman Randhir Jaiswal said RIC format brings together the three nations to discuss regional and global issues of mutual concern. He said the schedule would be worked out in a mutually convenient manner.

"RIC is a consultative format, a mechanism where the three countries come together to discuss regional and global issues,'' he said.

Asked when would the RIC format meeting be held, the spokesman said ''it is something that will be worked out among the three countries in a mutually convenient manner.''
