Moscow, March 18 -- Moscow deeply regrets that the military operation in the Gaza Strip has resumed and strongly condemns any actions leading to deaths of civilians and destruction of social infrastructure, the Russian Foreign Ministry said on Tuesday.
Earlier on Tuesday, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that it was carrying out massive airstrikes on Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip. The Israeli prime minister's office said that the country had resumed attacks on Gaza Strip in response to Hamas' refusal to accept the US plan to extend the ceasefire regime and continue the release of hostages. According to the latest data from Gaza's health ministry, more than 400 people have been killed and more than 500 injured in the latest strikes.
