Minsk, June 27 -- Russia and Ukraine have agreed that the third round of negotiations will take place after the completion of the exchange of prisoners of war and the transfer of the bodies of dead servicepeople, Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Friday.

"We agreed in such a way that we would continue further contacts after the completion of the exchanges and after the humanitarian action that we proposed. Namely, we are talking about the transfer of the bodies of our dead servicepeople," Putin told reporters in Minsk.

Russia is ready for the third round of negotiations with Ukraine in Istanbul, the president said, adding that the time and place of the third round need to be agreed on yet.
