Patna, March 21 -- Rural Works Department of Bihar has constructed 64,345 kms roads and 946 bridges its own resources under state government schemes, with expenses of Rs 36,612.16 crores till February this year.
Rural Works Department Minister Ashok Chaudhary, while replying to a debate on budgetary allocation of his department for the financial year 2025-26, said that 64,345 km roads and 946 bridges had been constructed by the state government with its own resources in Bihar, with expenses of Rs 36,612.16 crores till February this year.
Similarly, 53,568 kms roads and 1,155 bridges had also been constructed with expenses of Rs 28,524.29 crores under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana in the state, he added.
