Lucknow, April 17 -- The Uttar Pradesh government is empowering women in rural areas by training them in masonry work and involving them in the construction of village houses, official sources said here on Thursday.
Sources said that the UP government's 'Rural Mason Training' initiative is equipping women with enhanced skills and craftsmanship, transforming them into skilled 'Rani Mistris'.
"The initiative is not only opening up new employment opportunities but is also promoting self-reliance and empowerment among rural women. In a field once dominated by men, women are now stepping forward and gaining recognition for their talent and hard work," they said.
