Lucknow, May 3 -- The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department successfully conducted a five-day residential foundation training programme for rural tourism coordinators at the Manyawar Kanshiram Institute of Tourism Management (MKITM).

The training, held under the UP Rural Tourism Project (Agri-Rural Tourism and Ganga Grams Rural Tourism), was aimed at building local capacity and enhancing village-level tourism experiences. A total of 29 village coordinators from 18 districts, including Shamli, Saharanpur, Banda, Chitrakoot, Mahoba, Hamirpur, Rae Bareli, Hardoi, Lakhimpur Kheri, Sitapur, Lucknow, Varanasi, Chandauli, Ayodhya, Barabanki, Amethi, Bahraich and Gonda, participated in the programme held between April 28 to May 2.
