Mathura, Feb. 14 -- A rural postal worker was allegedly abducted at gunpoint and later burned alive in Haryana. The victim was identified through a ring and foot marks by his family members after Haryana Police contacted them, local officials said on Saturday.
Ramveer, a resident of Kamar village in Kosi Kalan, was working as a Branch Post Master at Agarwala post office. On the morning of February 9, while he was on his way to duty, car-borne miscreants intercepted him near a drain around 11:30 am and abducted him.
Locals who witnessed the incident informed his family. His motorcycle was found parked near the spot. Police were alerted, and the SP (Rural) formed five teams to trace the accused.
