Mumbai, Feb. 13 -- The Rupee on Thursday rose 5 paise at 86.84 against USD in opening session on the selling of US dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex market said.

The domestic unit moved up on a weak dollar against other world currencies amid an improving equity market in early trade, the dealer informed.

The rupee recorded intra-day highs and lows at 86.81 and 86.85, respectively, the dealer added.
