Mumbai, Feb. 25 -- The rupee on Tuesday slipped 17 paise at 86.88 against the USD in the opening session on rising demand for US Dollar by bankers and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The domestic unit was seen weak on the strong dollar against other world currencies amid the rebounding equity market in early trade, the dealer informed.
The rupee recorded intra-day highs and lows at 86.80 and 86.92, respectively, the dealer added.
