Mumbai, May 23 -- The Rupee on Friday ended strong at 85.28, advancing 79 paise, a single
day rise in two years, on selling of Dollar from foreign banks, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit that was 67 paise in last three sessions, moved up 14 paise at 85.93 in early trade today. During the day, it was soared 79 paise to close high at 85.28 as compared to its previous close.
Persistent dollar selling from foreign bank and surging stock market also boosted the rupee, dealer said.
The Rupee recorded days high and low at 85.22 and 85.97 respectively, dealer added.
