Mumbai, March 10 -- The Rupee on Monday dropped 36 paise at 87.23 against USD on brisk demand for US dollars by bankers and importers, dealers at the Forex market said.
The local unit gained 25 paise in the previous session, slid in early trade today because of a strong dollar against other world currencies despite a positive stock market in early trade.
The rupee recorded intra-day highs and lows at 87.13 and 87.26, respectively, the dealer added.
