Mumbai, April 23 -- The Rupee on Wednesday dropped another 22 paise
to close at 85.42 against USD, on brisk demand for US Dollar from foreign banks and exporters, dealers at the Forex Market said.
The local unit fell 7 paise at 85.27 in early trade. It remained under pressure throughout the session and finally closed at 85.42, tumbling down 22 paise
as compared to its last close.
Firm Dollar against other world currencies despite string equity market kept the Rupee weak.
The Rupee recorded intra days high and low at 85.22 and 85.46 respectively, dealer added.
