Srinagar, April 1 -- A day after Eid prayers were not allowed at the historical Jamia Masjid and Eidgah at the old city Srinagar, ruling National Conference termed the move "deeply unfortunate and condemnable."
In a statement on Tuesday, the party said even during the peak of militancy, prayers were never stopped at these two places.
Launching a scathing attack on the BJP without mentioning it, the party said, "Today in the name of so-called normalcy people are being denied their fundamental religious rights."
