Agartala, Sept. 2 -- Tensions within the BJP-led government in Tripura have escalated after TIPRA Motha Party MLA Philip Kumar Reang lodged a police complaint alleging death threats from Pratik Dev Varma, son of Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma.
On Tuesday, Reang submitted an FIR against four individuals, with Pratik as the main figure, claiming they threatened his life while allegedly under the influence of alcohol late Mondaynight.
In his complaint at the New Capital Complex Police Station, Reang detailed an unsettling incident that occurred during a family discussion at his government quarter. He reported that three men entered his space, forcibly restraining him and meddling in his affairs.
