Sivaganga (Tamil Nadu), April 27 -- In a daring act, a three-member motorcycle-borne gang hacked a ruling DMK functionary to death at Samiyarpatti village in the southern Sivaganga
district of Tamil Nadu on Sunday, even as three people were arrested in this connection.
Police said the gang attacked Praveen Kumar (27), who is the District Sports Development
Wing Deputy Convener of the DMK, indiscriminately with machetes, when the deceased went
to his farm.
Praveen Kumar suffered multiple cut injuries in the deadly attack and died on the spot.
The gang escaped from the spot on motorcycles.
The body was removed to Sivaganga government medical college hospital for post-mortem.
