Chennai, Nov. 20 -- The ruling DMK and its allies today staged a protest demonstrationslamming the Centre for refusing permission for the Coimbatore Metro Rail project.
The agiation, held at Coimbatore was organised under the banner of Secular ProgressiveAlliance (SPA) led by the DMK and was led by former Minister and senior leader V SenthilBalaji.
Apart from a large number of DMK cadres, members of the alliance parties took part in thedemonstration and shouted slogans condemning the BJP-led government for refusing nodfor the Metro Rail project in Coimbatore and hampering the growth of the Textile City.
