Patna, July 22 -- The Bihar Assembly was adjourned till lunch today following an uproar by the opposition over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.
As soon as the House assembled for the day and Speaker Nandkishor Yadav took up the Question Hour proceedings, opposition members began vociferously protesting against the SIR and the prevailing law and order issues. Dressed in black as a mark of protest, they shouted slogans demanding the immediate withdrawal of the SIR. Waving placards and banners, they stormed into the Well of the House, creating a noisy scene.
