Bhubaneswar, March 31 -- The Odisha Assembly witnessed uproar on Tuesday following controversial remarks by BJP MP Nishikant Dubey against legendary leader Biju Patnaik.

The Opposition strongly objected, demanding that Speaker Surama Padhy take up and pass a censure motion against the MP.

The disruption began as soon as the House assembled for Question Hour. Members of the BJD, Congress, and CPI(M) rushed to the well of the House, raising slogans and creating a ruckus.

Despite the chaos, the Speaker managed to conduct proceedings until 10:52 AM before adjourning the House till 11:30 AM, as repeated appeals for order went unheeded.
