Bhubaneswar, Feb. 15 -- For the second consecutive day, the Odisha Assembly witnessed chaos as Opposition Congress and BJD members stalled proceedings over the plight of farmers and the deteriorating law and order situation in the state.

As soon as the House assembled for the day to take up the Question Hour, Opposition BJD and Congress members stormed into the well of the House, raising slogans against the government over issues related to katni and chhatni in paddy procurement and the worsening law and order situation in the state.

Speaker Surama Padhi, however, ignored the Opposition's protest and asked Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida to respond to the question.
