Mumbai, Feb. 16 -- Admissions under the Right to Education (RTE) Act in Maharashtra will commence from Tuesday, February 17, the state school education department has announced. However, a revised procedure this time has triggered concern among parents.

For the current admission cycle, the school education department has introduced two key modifications - the reduction in the permissible distance for school selection and compulsory online submission of documents at the time of application.
