Hyderabad, Nov. 16 -- Rythu Swarajya Vedika (RSV) has appealed to farmers across Telangana who suffered severe crop damage during Cyclone Montha to immediately check the crop-loss enumeration lists displayed in their Gram Panchayat offices and report any omissions to Agriculture Extension Officers (AEOs).

In statement here today, RSV said heavy rains associated with the cyclone at the end of October caused extensive crop damage, and while preliminary estimates indicated losses across 4.48 lakh acres, the government initially released figures covering only 1.17 lakh acres.
