Ayodhya, Sept. 11 -- The Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) is set to commemorate its 100th year of establishment this Vijayadashami with a series of year long events.
For the first time in its history, the Sangh will kick off the celebrations not from its headquarters in Nagpur, but from the sacred city of Ayodhya. Preparations for the event have been carried out discreetly in a high level meeting at Karsevakpuram, attended by all affiliated organisations of the RSS.
Thousands of volunteers from Ayodhya will participate in a grand path sanchalan (march) along Rampath on Vijayadashami, where RSS General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale will deliver the main address.
