Thiruvananthapuram, Nov. 8 -- Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan today strongly condemned the Southern Railway for making students sing the RSS Gana Geetham (song) during the inauguration of the Ernakulam-Bengaluru Vande Bharat Express, calling the act "deeply objectionable and worthy of strong protest".

He said that including a song of the RSS - an organisation that, according to him, continuously spreads communal hatred and divisive politics - in an official government function amounted to a violation of constitutional principles.

The Chief Minister said it was unacceptable that even the Indian Railways, the country's largest public sector undertaking, was being used by the Sangh Parivar for its communal political propaganda.
