Bengaluru, April 1 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale on Tuesday iterated that caste has no place in the Sangh and said Hindu unity is the key to transcending caste divisions.
He also reinforced the Sangh's long-held belief that all people in Bharat, regardless of their religion, are part of a shared Hindu identity.
"The first lesson taught in the RSS is that we are all Hindus. The way to reduce the divisive lines of caste is by drawing a larger unifying identity, which is Hindu unity. As a result, caste has no place in the Sangh," Hosabale said in an interview disseminated to media by RSS.
