Nagpur, Sept. 28 -- Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) chief Mohan Bhagwat today released 'Sangh Songs', an album comprising 25 songs of the organisation and dubbed it as an expression of devotion to the motherland. The compilation has been rendered by noted singer Shankar Mahadevan, who performed ten of the songs live during the launch event.
Speaking on the occasion, Bhagwat said the Sangh songs reflects "austerity of life and lived experiences of swayamsevaks."He noted that RSS has songs in almost every Indian language, estimating their number between 25,000 and 30,000. "The essence of these songs lies in dedication and in many cases the names of their makers are unknown," he remarked.
