Bhubaneswar, Sept. 20 -- The Plate Mill of Rourkela Steel Plant (RSP) has undergone a major technological upgradation during its Capital Repair-2025 campaign.
Executed entirely with in-house expertise and resources, the initiatives have enhanced automation, improved system reliability, and ensured substantial cost savings, reflecting RSP's commitment to self-reliance, efficiency, and innovation.
The capital repair of the Plate Mill was successfully carried out from September 3 to 15. One of the most notable milestones of this repair was the replacement of the Furnace Discharge PLC system, which controls critical operations such as the Discharge Roller Tables, Slab Transfer Car, Primary Descaling, and Scale Pit Pumps.
