New Delhi, Jan. 22 -- Delhi government has revealed its plans of constructing an elevated road over the Munak Canal connecting Inderlok Metro Station to Urban Extension Road-2 (UER-2).
The planned road will come up at an estimated cost of Rs. 5,000 crore.
Once operational, commuters heading towards Rohini and other parts of Outer Delhi will be able to bypass congested internal roads, significantly reducing travel time.
The canal will be desilted and cleaned, with arrangements to ensure a steady flow of clean water. Modern Chhath ghats with concrete steps will be developed on both banks. Landscaping with trees, plants and green parks will turn the area into a dedicated space for worship and social gatherings.
