Shahpur, Sept. 5 -- Around Rs 80 crore is being spent on various drinking water schemes in Shahpur Assembly constituency, Deputy Chief Whip and local MLA Kewal Singh Pathania said here on Friday.
He was speaking after inaugurating an electricity-operated hand pump at Kuthman village, which will provide clean drinking water to 15-18 families of the Guleria locality.
Pathania informed that a tubewell is also being installed in the panchayat at a cost of about Rs 40 lakh. The work is nearing completion and water connections will soon be provided to the residents.
